Patchouli is an aromatic perennial shrub belonging to the mint family. It has large green petals and white-pink flowers. The plant can reach to 2 to 3 feet (1 meter) in height and is native to Asian Regions where the climate is warm. Patchouli is sought after for its antiseptic properties and aromatherapists recognize Patchouli as antidepressant, deodorant, sedative, fungicide & anti-inflammatory. It also has diuretic properties which make it useful in cases of fluid retention and cellulite.
