Circé, the daughter of Helios, the sun god, and of the ocean nymph Perse. She was able by means of drugs and incantations to change humans into wolves, lions, and swine. But on a deeper level, Circé is the symbol of a manifestation of the supramental consciousness, “the discerning vision of Truth in all details” in the matter, whereas her brother, Aietes, is rather a global vision of Truth from the heights of the Spirit.
